dtoh Posted May 31, 2012 Share #121 Posted May 31, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) i bought a M8 in 2007 for its look, and not knowing what was a RF then. Still loving it today. Money can't buy happiness, but this purchase was pretty damn close. Regards, daryl http://www.dtohphoto.com

jip Posted September 13, 2012 Share #126 Posted September 13, 2012 I had an M8 Bought a M8.2 (brand new only 127 pictures taken) Sold the M8 took about 3-4k pictures, since march 14th this year. It was my first Leica! I'm in love! And spending too much money on Leica. That last picture is what i traded the M8 for, hurts my heart but make the bank account less close to red. iedei Posted September 17, 2012 Share #130 Posted September 17, 2012 jip: is that a collapsible Summicron 50mm in your pic? is it safe to use with the M8 then? I was wondering if it would hit the sensor or be too close to the sensor....

lct Posted September 17, 2012 Share #132 Posted September 17, 2012 The barrel of the Summicron 50 collapsible protrudes significantly less than that of the Elmar 50 when it is collapsed. Better keep it extended when mounting as usual. http://www.l-camera-forum.com/leica-forum/leica-m8-forum/86670-how-good-m8-m6-d3-user.html#post909253

efix Posted September 25, 2012 Share #134 Posted September 25, 2012 Great to see that people are still enjoying their M8's. I am still of the opinion that the M8's sensor, paired with the right glass, delivers some of the best image quality possible -- even by today's standards. Keep up the M8 love! SJP Posted September 25, 2012 Share #135 Posted September 25, 2012 agree, also the B&W (M8 jpgs) and IR capabilities make it an interesting option. IR photography is still on my to do list admittedly.

RobertJRB Posted September 27, 2012 Share #137 Posted September 27, 2012 Damn, I sold my black M8 half a year ago when I got a silver M9P. No funds to keep it. Cleaning up my computer I found some pictures of the M8 I took for the advertise and thought how I loved the/ my M8 with the 28 cron. Opened marktplaats (dutch ebay) to search for M8's and see how the prices are, and the fist one I find is my old M8.... I know I can't pay for it at the moment, and there's no real need since I have the M9P, but it like its calling me right now Had this before with the 18mm SE, with ended with me buying it back. I sure hope its gonna be different when I trade my M9P in for the M...
