Mute-on Posted July 16, 2019 Share #105 Posted July 16, 2019 Another option is Jorg Heumuller of http://europeancameraservice.com/ . Leica trained, and a Melbourne local. I have no experience with him, but would be keen to hear from any who have.

Angelo 1954 Posted August 4, 2019 Share #109 Posted August 4, 2019 Thanks I hope they are qualified and willing To repair, some shops prefer To change completally the viewfinder and this would be far Too expensive.

A blacked out M3 viewfinder involves a lot of work and time to get it back to normal , it is expensive, you might get a quote here: https://www.cameraworks-uk.com/services I was only trying to help and aswered your initial question. wlaidlaw Posted August 4, 2019 Share #112 Posted August 4, 2019 I can attest to the competence of Alan and James Starkie at Cameraworks-uk.com. They have done lots of work for me, some very complicated and all impeccably. Like most well known Leica repairers, they tend to be overloaded with work and are not the most diligent communicators. Sometimes you get an email reply instantly but at other times it can be weeks. Their charges are very reasonable. Wilson
tranquilo67 Posted September 27, 2019 Share #113 Posted September 27, 2019 Hi, I think nobody has mentioned Jerzy (who is member of this forum). He's not only an excellent technician (has CLA'd to me several cameras and lenses with nothing less than outstanding work) with a extensive knowledge including upgraded cameras and lenses, but he is also a very kind person and a Leica lover which makes everything much more easier. As a very interesting value added he has a very reasonable prices and turnaround and very important: he provides you a report with the initial inspection as well as the details of the service done to the camera/lens. The last thing I want to highlight is his incredible work with the vulcanite in several of my cameras. Hope this will help, Augusto
