pippy Posted June 17, 2022 Share #17703 Â Posted June 17, 2022 Well... It looks like a recent offering from Modena but I've just been through my garage and it isn't quite the same as my 298, 458 or 488 so, for the time being, I'm in the dark! Philip. EDIT : Some of the above might be untrue.

John Z. Goriup Posted June 17, 2022 Share #17708 Â Posted June 17, 2022 My first thought also was that this is a 458 or 488 Ferrari, but upo closer study the shape of the headlights and the location of the panel lines just aren't correct for any Ferrari. I may be wayyyy off base with my guess, but to my eyes that sure looks like an aftermarket Morimoto headlight assembly in a new Corvette. Rona!d Posted June 18, 2022 Share #17714 Â Posted June 18, 2022 Would have thought this looks a bit "American Bantamish" but some details may look different.
John Z. Goriup Posted June 18, 2022 Share #17715 Â Posted June 18, 2022 Ronald, no American ( Western hemisphere ) involvement, but it would not be a waste of time to pursue the 'Bantamish' concept. JZG

John Z. Goriup Posted June 18, 2022 Share #17718  Posted June 18, 2022 That's it - a Topolino it is. The reason I didn't ask for the 'usual info' is that these things didn't change much at all between their debut in approx. late 1935 & the end of the run in about 1955. That car and the Vespa put Italy on wheels after WW II, ending with half a million + produced in Torino. The best most Americans could think to do with a Topolino is to use their bodies for AA fuel dragsters. Lovely as the Topololino undoubtedly is it was the VW in the background which captured my attention. The cut-out at the front top corner of the door-window of the Beetle identifies the vehicle as dating to 1950; that was the only year where this solution to ventilation was put in place. I, for one, would have been all over that car had I been there! Thanks for posting. Philip.
