The Z1 had a flat rear deck, although I think there were modified Z3s with humps but not factory-optioned.

There was an odd version of a Renault Megane convertible with humps instead of back seats - could it be this??

Not a Z1 and not a Megane. Nigel, Z3 is right (good and quick memory!). But these "Speedster humps" were official (rare) BMW factory accessories.

There was a cover with three parts and another one with just two parts depending on if the car had roll bars or not.

Here you see the three part version. Two parts could be splitted for space reasons and a top cover above them. Assume in rain you need most of the trunk space. This impracticle acessories is pretty rare but doesn´t fit the cars design well. Never liked it.

BMW better should have made a flat, hump less two part hood cover instead. The nice looking factory soft cover is a bit stiff to install on a cold day.

Only knew this from brochures (in most photos along with the aerodynamic kit which doesn´t look that bad) so I had to take a photo when I saw my first real life car fitted with it after more than 25 years.

Over to you!

Another red car - but rather different (and maybe too easy!)

Bingo!

Currently on display in the really rather poor “Automania” show at MOMA New York...

I’m travelling in Massachusetts at the moment so can’t post the full version of my photo. Here’s the museum shot.
