    The Bishop

A bishop deep in thought prior to an Italian wedding ceremony. Captured with a Leica M + 35 lux. Thank you for looking.
  2. I shot weddings with nearly everything: Nikon, Sony, Fuji, Leica... you name it. After getting the new Sony A9, which is a fantastic camera, I started to feel bored, uninspired and just had the feeling I am operating a game-controller, but not a camera anymore. I got out my old M9 and an 35 Summicron and took it with to weddings again. Can´t remember when I last time hat so much fun shooting 12 hours straight. I don´t know what happened, but after years of trying Leica at weddings and leaving it again for not being fast enough, I now finally feel comfortable to shoot anything with it that ar
  3. I was looking through a photog magazine and came across a photo which immediately caught my eye due to such a DOF and the photo was wide angle. In the remarks it was identified the photo was made using the "Brenizer Method" so i followed the link to get more information. see https://photographylife.com/advanced-photography-techniques-brenizer-method-panorama for details. In a nutshell he uses a long portrait lens at widest aperture and makes a stitched image using several photo in photoshop. Apparently this produces a photo inherently close to a medium format look with lots of details.
  4. - the M - after working professionally for a few years I have shot nearly every camera system available. It took me many attempts to finally settle on the Leica for good. It is simply the most magic tool out there. It´s not the quality, it´s the joy and simplicity of use that sets her apart. She is no easy, just give yourself time to really get to know her... to discover her soul. I don't want to sound too pathetic, but I strongly believe this tool helped me to become the photographer I am (for the good and the bad). all Leica M240 and either 35 FLE or 35

A girl hugs the bride during the wedding rehearsal. Shot with M240 and a 35mm cron.
  7. this was just a snappy and I could focus my manual lens in the last moment. I was busy in our botanical garden when I saw the "crew" coming" being in a hurry because of rain. Olympus EM 5 with Elmarit R 60 mm macro
  9. Leica M9 + 35 lux Day 1 is here. Any feedback is appreciated.
  10. Anyone interested in doing some wedding photos for a not very formal wedding in the Laguna Beach area in November (19th)? I envision that this would be more on the order of candids and RF style than staged and flashed - maybe good for someone starting out or out for a nice afternoon without the usual wedding photography stress and usual format of events. 11. I usually shoot with Canons but since I recently got an M9 I thought I'd take it along to a wedding (I'm a wedding photographer). I enjoyed using it throughout the day, being small meant having two cameras around my neck wasn't an issue and because it's small and unassuming people were less turned off when I was taking photos. They were a great couple and possibly wondering what I was doing with a small old school looking camera rather than a large SLR but I loved it.

    Oh Happy Day!

Da will man Blömken fotografieren im Park... M9 mit 50er Cron In groß: Oh Happy Day!
  13. Really enjoying shooting with the Leica M9 and a Summilux 35mm. Love the light this time of the year all shot last weekend in San Antonio, Texas. Enables me to focus on the images and the scene within a scene. Most of my getting ready, ceremony and part of the reception is shot with the M9, the rest is split up with a Nikon D3 and wide angle and telephoto lenses. They're on my blog. Part two here.

It was time for a selfie with the CL and some off camera flashes.🤣 Nobody home to help out, remote app not working with CL, Godox trigger and Voigtländer lens. Back to self timer and guessing position in front of lens.
