  1. at the same time, i ordered a FATTY D strap in black with red stitching from https://sailorstrap.ecwid.com/#!/FD-Black/p/62224677/category=18060064 for the SL, because of the larger diameter woven cord. it too is comfortable, well stitched, and the communications with the company were quick and easy. $55 including mailing charges from warzaw, poland was quick and reasonable. the only drawback is that the strap comes without buckles etc for the SL, so i'll need to borrow them from an old strap.
  2. don't ask me how i stumbled across this link to straps from www.deadcameras.com , but i thought their XL STRAP would be perfect for the SL. they're handmade in portugal; communications by email were quick and easy, and the strap, with its extra-wide pad, is well-designed and very comfortable. it comes with optional mounting rings , so the strap can be moved to different camera types. i'll post photos later.

  10. At the cafe. The photo is a crop (about 1/9th of the original image), taken with a Leica Elcan 52mm f5.6 lens on a Sony A7R. There are more details on the lens here: http://www.l-camera-forum.com/topic/245126-elcan-52mm-f56-adapter/
  11. +1 for the ona bowery. mine is leather (and somewhat heavy) but perfect size. have a look in the enjoyyourcamera and monochrom online catalogs - pretty good choice in both. good luck rick

  15. 5* from me for cathy and will at kamera service. they've 6-bit coded everything i've requested; straightened out BADLY bent filter rings; adjusted and adjusted and adjusted a noctilux until focus was perfect again; reglued separated lens elements, and performed top CLA work on many of my lenses throughout the years. don't hesitate, trust them. greetings from hamburg rick
