JHAG Posted July 2, 2006 Share #1 Posted July 2, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) Small disappointment with my 1.25x When I screw the diopter correcting less on the ad hoc thread, it does not properly screw on it : running void. Any idea ?
Advertisement Posted July 2, 2006 Posted July 2, 2006 Hi JHAG, Take a look here Magnifier M 1.25 x. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Guest leica_mage Posted July 2, 2006 Share #2 Posted July 2, 2006 I think that one part screws on tightly and the other is "free floating", as it were, if that's what you mean. If so, it's normal. Best, K.P.
JHAG Posted July 2, 2006 Author Share #3 Posted July 2, 2006 Thanks Leica Mage No, I know the middle ring is free floating (being attached by is chain to the camera). I'm speaking of the correcting lens I screw on the items itself (to shoot without glasses). This correcting lens should fit tight on the thread and it does not. cbretteville Posted July 3, 2006 Share #4 Posted July 3, 2006 Thanks Leica MageI'm speaking of the correcting lens I screw on the items itself (to shoot without glasses). This correcting lens should fit tight on the thread and it does not. It does on mine, naver had an issue with that. I guess the correction lens fits OK on the camera? If so have you checked to see that the 1.25 magnifier has a thread milled where the correction lens can fit? If it is a new one, take it back and get a replacement. Guest leica_mage Posted July 3, 2006 Share #5 Posted July 3, 2006 Quite... sounds like a thread problem.
JHAG Posted July 3, 2006 Author Share #6 Posted July 3, 2006 Well, on the finder itself, no problem, the thread fits. On the Magnifier, it doesn't : I can thread, bit it remains a bit loose. Thanks anyway…
