Matlock Posted September 4, 2017 Share #721 Posted September 4, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) I'm taking my 109 and Sofort as well so I think this will be enough film. If not I figure I can probably find somewhere in London to buy more. As for the lenses, I just finished a road trip through the American Wild West, The Badlands, Mount Rushmore, Yellowstone and a bunch of towns in between. I took 35, 50 and 90mm, I used the 90mm about 25% of the time but I never used the 35mm, because of this I'm going to leave the 35 at home and see how it goes. I think that the 35 would be beneficial in London. If I am taking photos in London I usually take only a 28.

Mute-on Posted September 4, 2017 Share #729 Posted September 4, 2017 Ah don't tempt me I give in to temptations too easily~~ Sorry, Rus. I can't help you with that ... Get one. You know you want to. How about a lovely non-self timer model. Button rewind just to be different Really it's the only practical way to shoot both lenses side by side. Alternatively colour and B&W, slide and neg, fast film and slow film, etc ... Enjoy!

mikemgb Posted September 4, 2017 Share #732 Posted September 4, 2017 I think that the 35 would be beneficial in London. If I am taking photos in London I usually take only a 28. I've never found a 35mm to be very useful in London, most of my film shooting there has been done with a 50mm. If I wanted wide I used 24mm back in my SLR days. Nowadays I don't photograph the landmarks much, it'll be mostly street photography.
NB23 Posted September 4, 2017 Share #733 Posted September 4, 2017 And when you are not buying any shirts? Then I buy shorts. On short trips.

Probably the difference between visiting and working there, as I did.

ktmrider2 Posted October 15, 2017 Share #738 Posted October 15, 2017 M2 with 35f2.8 C-Biogon-perhaps the perfect travel companion loaded with Ektar 100 or TriX. M2 with 35f1.2 Nokton with TriX or HP5-perhaps the best available light film combo. I have owned more M2's then any other M camera. Mine is now teamed with a M5 for when a meter is needed. SunnySixteen Posted January 10, 2018 Share #740 Posted January 10, 2018 Does anyone know when (serial #) Leica switched from button rewind to lever? I've just acquired an M2 circa 1959 sight unseen and curious what version I purchased. The vendor doesn't know because it's shipped and on it's way to me now. I like surprises but also should have asked more questions before purchasing!!
