Finally got time to start it up last night for the first time. f1.4 Summilux 50mm on it.

Brass + Brass so its pretty heavy.

I haven't decided what strap to go with this, normally I like rope straps with peak design attachments.

I thought about that lens which I found heavy, and the « classic » even more so I went for a 2nd hand one, I guess from previous generation.  It’s awesome though !  Congratulations

From Wikipedia:

In some parts of the English-speaking world, including Great Britain, Ireland (particularly Dublin and Belfast), and Australia, the phrase "Jesus wept" is an expletive some people use when something goes wrong or to express incredulity.

wow!! a green camera . Jesus  wept!

I doubt it - He had very little interest in material things and an understanding for human foibles.

This is Leica. Aesthetics matter.

In a camera world of boring black boxes some get a kick out of a green camera. Fantastic. And if it’s also good for Leica, why not?

I take it you’ve never made a non-essential purchase decision based on its colour?

Gordon

p.s. Mine is awaiting collection in Sydney but because of the Jesus thing above we have biblical floods and rain this week… Thanks for that. :)

And it's not like this thing cost much more fortune.   Several hundred dollars difference in Leica world is like penny difference!

Here in NZ the price is identical to the Monochrom.
