RQ44 Posted February 16 Share #21 Posted February 16 Advertisement (gone after registration) You should try a Q3!! I borrowed a Q3 on the weekend, worst battery life ever experienced with a camera. Really poor battery life.

And what do you compare it with. But here its about M11-D anyway. Edited February 17 by M11 for me
dscdsc Posted February 18 Author Share #23 Posted February 18 at least for the first day after the factory reset the battery life appears to be better.

Handed it back to my friend and even he thinks the camera has a short somewhere of the cells in the battery are toast.

How has it been over the last few months? My m11-d has been getting warm in hand without much use and battery draining when it does thanks!

Really poor battery life. I found the battery life on the Q3 to be really quite good. Did you have the screen on all the time? With EVF extended, it never let me down, even in really cold winter weather.

T25UFO Posted May 13 Share #31 Posted May 13 Setting Fotos to OFF definitely improves battery life. Of course, if you need Fotos. . .

I did as another user suggested, extended, turned off the fotos bluetooth and even set standby to 30 secs( which is a pain ) and even over night i turned off my camer with 40% and that morning the battery indicator was flashing red. I have no clue as to why.

Smudgerer Posted May 14 Share #35 Posted May 14 I haven't updated my M11-D's firmware yet and maybe I'll not bother, we'll see..........but my M11-D has excellent battery life with one battery easily lasting a day. I keep it on 10 minutes "sleep" usually turning it off when I doubt I'll be using the camera for a while and I don't use Fotos at all unless the rare occasional check on the camera settings.

Tseg Posted May 15 Share #37 Posted May 15 My M11-D battery life has been exceptional. A few months ago I bought a second battery out of long term "end of life" battery concerns. It felt a little unneeded as I can go days or weeks before needing a charge... but seeing the revised battery prices in the US I guess I'm glad I made that purchase when I did.

dscdsc Posted May 21 Author Share #40 Posted May 21 ever since my factory reset the battery life has been good. I use Fotos and have geotagging and auto background transfer on and one battery lasts me about 3-4 days of shooting.
