I was not thinking of cropping in that sense. When using RF, I sometimes need to crop as I took more scenery than desired. With an evf, i know what i get.

When shoting landscapes on tripod, I prefer using rear LCD for precise framing, which you can do with M11 as well.
algrove Posted Thursday at 11:27 PM Share #3245 Posted Thursday at 11:27 PM I have no problems seeing what's in the EVF with my glasses on.

Leica can hardly present the EVF-M as a milestone without incurring the wrath of the RealLeicaMan, i suppose. I don't expect any tectonic announcement, but i could be wrong... I have only problems with seeing all the corners without moving my head around. It may depend on the glasses as well. For the same reason, I do not use M's OVF with anything wider than 35mm. While we're hurtling through the air in a jet at 1,200 km/h, we're still talking about a "milestone" when a software update runs without crashing? That's like celebrating a marathon victory with an ancient bronze toad you just found. We live in a world that is so fast-paced that we post all our milestones on Instagram before the stone is even properly set in the ground. Let’s retire the metaphor. It served its purpose, but now it's as redundant as a paper map in a self-driving car. 1

In that case, what is your suggested superior replacement? 1

luigi bertolotti Posted Friday at 07:45 AM Share #3254 Posted Friday at 07:45 AM (edited) Boys... it's just around one week from THE doomsday.. and the last Friday before ! So the best thing to do (and I suspect I am the only to have done) is : - Fly to Wetzlar - Buy some 6-packs of good beer - Position yourself next to Leica's offices exit - With a discrete but smart billboard, or tablet, saying "FREE DRINK FOR MARKETING GUYS" - Let 4 or 5 come in, open the cans and start socializing - And everything will go as it must... I am already next to the factory (not sure about working time on Friday...) , can't speak German but hope isn't an issue with marketing people... wait for me tonight, I'll surely have definite and trustable news. I didn't speak of this enterprise before, for I feared an intrusion by someone of the forum Edited Friday at 07:47 AM by luigi bertolotti

In Germany, there's often a rule that says, "Freitag ab eins macht jeder seins" = "Friday from 1 p.m., everyone does their thing,". pgk Posted Friday at 09:25 AM Share #3257 Posted Friday at 09:25 AM I wonder how people would react if the announcement (if any) turns out to be an M shaped, L mount, EVF camera?🤯

Questions about battery life should be prepared, though. I'll be getting my first 'in person' sight of the new release in Canada. 6 days to go.
