Overall speed and response is much improved, but most pictures fail to load for me.

Using iPhone 11 with current iOS and cellular data and everything is perfect.  I’m not at home so can’t try the laptop or Wi-Fi until tomorrow.   Fingers crossed.

Another user made me aware of this issue.

I know the reason for this, but wasn't able to solve it.

Images are delivered worldwide via a CDN, some regions (I know of Texas) seem to have problems with accessing our server.

Sorry for that, I'm hoping to fix this.

The forum is running at reasonable speed for me, however, I today back to getting the indexing issue per my post #58 above. Interestingly I cleared both my history and cache for the first time in a long time this morning.

Yah - the Activity menu is all gummed up for Safari on a Mac. Starting sometime in the past week.

Click/select to use my existing custom filter (Show me threads I've posted in, that have new replies since my last viewing) and the site freezes, with the orange progress bar only moving about 1cm.

Try to create a new such filter - and the site freezes the same way.

About 19 times out of 20 - I did get the original filter to work once (with the warning that cataloging was in progress and would not be complete.) 

EDIT ........and, as soon as I posted this, the Activity menu is now working again. A tiny bit slow, but producing results in less than 10-15 seconds.

BTW I recognize how tricky handling intermittent faults can be - appreciate the effort.

....and now, 8 minutes later, it is gummed up again. Search traffic, overall server traffic, who knows...

Oops - now it looks like recent images don't show, but ones I've viewed before often do. Perhaps something due to cache../

I have asked questions about where people are, whether they are Premium Members or view with adverts. 

It seems to be affecting those in the US more than anywhere else. If members confirmed their location and what OS they are using, what browser, whether they view with adverts, use a VPN or any other relevant information, it might be possible to determine a pattern. Just saying “Me too” is helpful but there isn’t much to work on with just that information.

@LUF Admin is aware of the problem. 

It’s almost unusable for me too.  I wrote a post (can’t remember where), and after trying to post it, it simply disappeared.

In answer to your questions, Andy:

• I’m in Auckland, Aotearoa-New Zealand
• I have braodband (over 800 MBps download and 500 MBps upload) - allother sites load without issue
• I’m currently on my iPad Pro, using Safari, iOS 17.4.1
• No longer a premium member, so I see the ads, including the long redundant Q3 ads in the thread
• I don’t use VPN
• My default is Unread Posts, and it is uselessly slow - load time in the minutes, so I will often go and do something else

@LUF Admin this is the case at 1950 hrs GMT

As an aside, anyone else noticed the post numbering has also gone off on its own little ride?  In this thread, the numbering is all over the place - 

Edit - and now it’s not.  WHen I posted there were numerous posts marked #1, and some seemed to number backwards.  Odd.  Note, this is also the second time I’ve tried to edit this post.

Sorry, we have some issues right now:

• Our CDN is not working in all regions, thus images, styles and scripts are not delivered correctly.
• I updated the forum software yesterday, so perhaps some scripts, styles and images in your cache are outdated.

Please try another browser or the private mode, this might help.
