I bought a vlux5 as a gift for my friend (she loves photography), no charger included. My dealer sold me a no-name one for 15€. Fair. Is it enough to have the charger priced "fairly," or do you need the camera to be priced "fairly" as well? After all, we keep buying new cameras, but I doubt we will buy more than one dual charger. Advertisement Posted March 9, 2024 Posted March 9, 2024 Hi SrMi, Take a look here Leica SL3 features that I would like to add. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Olaf_ZG Posted March 9, 2024 Share #22 Posted March 9, 2024 @SrMiproblem is that leica is changing batteries, I can’t use the one from the m10 on the mp240, on the Sl2, on the vlux. So I need chargers. For every camera. I either expect them to be included or to be fairly priced. It’s not such a hightech thing as a camera. Though out of my range, leica new prices are fairly priced, to me.
Olaf_ZG Posted March 9, 2024 Share #23 Posted March 9, 2024 I really don’t like charging cameras directly. I load my batteries (always buy spare, can’t have enough) when empty. When loading, I might need my camera, so a loader is a necessary accessory to me.

It does not have to be fast or for everyday use, but why should nikon and sony have one and not the king of M lenses? For real?! Nikon has that? ivohula Posted March 10, 2024 Share #29 Posted March 10, 2024 Have you read this gem of an opinion? https://diglloyd.com The Lloyd Chambers blog continues to set new lows in relevance and new highs in bloated narcissism. Who needs a camera to print them their grocery list anyway. Lloyd does.

I stopped reading that site years ago, when it got very sweary. Also, he was paid to advertise one brand, but couldn't be bothered to mention this in his reviews... I always thought he should purchase a technical camera, some Rodagons, and whatever digital back he can afford. That's his style of imaging. He could stop worrying about equipment and concentrate on his art. The whole notion of having such a photographer review SLRs is absurd. He isn't made for them and they aren't made for him.
MarkSL2 Posted September 26, 2024 Share #33 Posted September 26, 2024 I believe the pixel shift will come as a firmware upgrade. Anyone think otherwise?

That’s how it surfaced in the SL2. Just really surprised it’s not yet emerged for the SL3. Not clear why it’s taking so long, so starting to wonder if it will be done at all? John Smith Posted September 28, 2024 Share #35 Posted September 28, 2024 Does the SL3 have touch and release? If not, I’d like to see an upgrade with that included. I have a Panasonic S1H and that camera has it. Much more useful than AF focusing only.

Max EPR Posted October 3, 2024 Share #37 Posted October 3, 2024 I want to use the LCD Panel to setup and save my Profiles. It’s easier to do this with the LCD vs the EVF. I mostly use the EVF when using the camera. The problem is when I save the Profile it saves the LCD as the default when I use the LCD to make/save the Profile. So, when I am using the camera with the EVF and switch profiles it defaults to the LCD. My solution is to use the EVF when saving a profile, I would prefer the LCD/EVF not be an option saved with a Profile.
