Well, I had all that on my nth-hand Zeiss Ikon Nettar, built in the 1950s, and it was a lot lighter and more compact (when folded) than a full-frame mirrorless camera of today.

Equally, if I so chose, I could used my Lumix S1 in manual mode (focusing included).

By the way, you forgot your light meter.

I got used to M3 so I measured everything with my eyes as a light meter, lol. I even forgot the ISO dial but you get the idea. M6 would be perfect.

I began the journey with OM-1 which was a simple camera as well.

I try to keep my habits the same today. I moaned about M-D (without screen) in the M9 times. It came but I never could afford it. :)

OM-1 digital or film :). I hate that OM Systems is reusing the names.

I started with OM-2n.

I will gladly give up the Firlefanz of contemporary  cameras and use a digital camera as simple as OM-2n. Hmm, am I off-topic?

Film :) Very nice VF for the OM-1. SL EVF surprised me positively.

Yes, digital Om-1 in 100% shape and design except for the sensor as the original would be awesome.

I'm hoping that next versions of SL are going to be slimmer.

Why? You can be a luxury brand but not a successful one.
Perhaps they didn’t sell enough 800$ cigarette lighters.

Is that a good price for that product? I have no idea about high-end lighters, but I remember that the headphones in the same "0.95 Collection" were priced around the same as the regular Master & Dynamic models.

That collection came-out in 2016, and has been sold-out for years, so it might not represent Leica's priorities eight years later. If I recall, Leica was trying to push "Leica Boutiques" at the time, and the collection was only available in those shops. I did visit a Leica boutique in Paris around that time, and they let me try-out quite a few lenses and bodies that nobody stocked in Canada, which was great. It was a lonely pop-up desk in one of the big downtown high-end department stores, near Gare Saint Lazare.

I'm trying to determine what price point I'd be comfortable with.  I've had my Q3 for a few months and I take it everywhere, but I find that 95% of the time I have it in 50mm crop mode because of the way I shoot and how close I like to be to my subjects.  So basically the only advantage it has over my SL2-S and 50 APO SL is the size and weight (although with the Voigtlander 40 1.2 that I love it's not that big a difference) - but I don't know if that's worth throwing all those pixels away.  The Q3 sensor is good in low light (although I think I'm amplifying noise by using the 50mm crop in low light) but not nearly as good as my SL2-S. Selling the Q3 and using the funds towards the SL3 may be worth it, even if the SL3 is more than what I could get for the Q3.

Guess pricing will be approximately 7400 Euro... but:

This week visited "Leitz-Park" together with my wife...... No better way to understand Leica-Pricing, to forgive Leica all disregarded requirements and to fall into a hypnotic state of consumption-frenzy...

Now I know: I need the SL3 and my budget restrictions are gone - thanks to my wife 😎 So please, Leica, sell the SL3 to me!!!!!

I doubt it. A Maserati or a trophy wife/ husband carries far more status than a camera which will not even be recognized by 95% of the world’s population.

Any idea where I can trade in my Leica for one, or preferably (since I've no desire for a Maserati) the other?

The Olympus film cameras and Zuiko  lenses were / are very highly regarded. Back in the '70s I remember a mountaineering photographer saying that he wouldn't have anything else (this was the Nikkormat era, another fine camera) as it was the only one he could use one-handed.

Chris Bonington?

Nope. Someone in the a camera club which I joined in my wannabe photographer days. Nevertheless, he seemed to have taken a photograph from every Alpine summit, the views from which, to an 'outsider', seemed much the same as one another.

Haha. How true. Whenever Im out with my M most people dont think it’s a high value item. If I walked around with a DSLR and big 24-70 they would think that was the real deal, even if it was 10 years old and worth 500 bucks.

Im also into guitars and it’s the same thing. Nobody besides other guitarists have any idea what you have. Most people think the shiny 500 dollar one is worth far more than my beat up vintage ones.
