I daren't post a photo of my rucksack from The North Face. Once it was bright yellow but no longer. Once it had a number of snap clips on webbing, now none are still intact and working. The straps are frayed with foam poking out but its still comfy to wear. Although it is thoroughly disreputable, unfortunately I have yet to spot a replacement that I like. Inside the rucksack though  is a small Billingham which I picked up very cheaply some years ago (I don't know what model). This fits well and offers good protection.

Of course I do have a proper photographer's bag by Co-op in the car if needed, although it lack the padding (insulation) of that rather smart Walmart bag of jdlaing's, which is of course unavailable over here.,

Asda is Walmart. 😃

Finally a fresh, never before discussed topic in a thread. Such a relief from the standard, ultra-frequent, all chewed up  "Where to find the back door vulcanite for my 2002 Special edition Japanese market MP6" common questions 😊.

I'm using the small Havana Bag from RocknRoll. Tiny but surprisingly capacious. I especially like the rather rustic look; it is clearly handmade.

I don't need another camera bag, but these have been tempting me for months.  They are beautiful...

Interesting, please give us some insights why it is tempting? I find users have different preferences when they r to use particular bag for their go to or EDC

@jakontil  I like the color of the fabric and I like the leather trim.  It appears to be a  high quality, well made bag.

I'm guessing that most folk on this forum like high quality, well made cameras and lenses.

There's nothing wrong with that.  That should also apply to camera bags. Or so I thought. 😳

The same bag I used for everything else, a small Berghaus backpack that cost about £25 when I got mine pre-Covid (they want £44 for it now).

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Berghaus-Twnty4Seven-Plus-Backpack-20/dp/B09CVLCFDN

Inside, camera bodies are stuffed in small bags from CCS or Kata (brands that no longer exist), smaller cameras and lenses are usually in pouches from Zing (which are now hard to get in the UK). I generally only bother with a 'proper' camera bag for larger SLR gear, usually a Crumpler backpack (from the old range, back when I think they sold the Australian style gear everywhere - Crumpler Europe is now a separate company with a different range of bags).

I quite often do this when wanting to be more stealthy. I put my badly pro insert across the bottom so that camera and lens aren't jiggling about!

For daily walk, Billingham Hadley Digital. Just enough room for M10 and 1-3 lenses.
For hiking/trekking/skiing/snowshoe trips, Wandrd PRVKE with Essential camera cube. Big enough to hold necessary camera gear, water, coffee pot(!), food and clothes.

An MegaGear Torres Mini (Ona Bond Street knockoff) for everyday carry.
A Compagnon Medium Messenger for bigger tasks.
A PeakDesign Travel Backpack with camera cubes for even bigger tasks.

Still looking for something even smaller than the Bond Street for just M10 and second lens. the Megagear is good, but could actually loose a third of it's height to be perfect.

I'm a big fan of the Domke F-8 bag.  Very small, but can hold a decent amount of stuff.  I put some pictures of my setup in a previous thread.

Since rationalising my daily travel carry to one M camera with accompanying lens, the Billingham 72 https://billingham.co.uk/products/72-camera-bag_colour-burgundy-canvas-chocolate-leather. Compact with ample protection, and drops into a backpack for transport (planes/trains) when not in use

Two M cameras with accompanying lenses (mounted) go in two Billingham 72s, worn bandolier style. Sounds odd, but very practical to distribute weight for my aging back and shoulders. Alternatively, one goes in the backpack while travelling/hiking, and the other on the shoulder for easy access.

Since I prefer not to use a strap attached to the camera, I treat the 72 as a sort of removable ever-ready case.

As a cautionary note to others, I also have at least one of almost every Billingham model from Hadley Digital to 335. Most of these were purchased before I discovered the 72s, and none have had use since …… take from that what you will.

In addition to several other camera bags and backpacks for my various cameras I currently use the following for my M system:

- Wandrd Rogue Sling - 6L (walking, other outdoor)

- Ona Bowery (parties, other indoor)

- Pacsafe camsafe LX (travelling)

- Billingham Hadley (when I need to fit more gear)

- An Ortlieb waterproof camera bag (kayaking and other water activities)

- Then I may carry an M body with a lens in a larger Lowepro backpack together with my Canon DSLR gear

I do not have an M10-specific bag. I use more Think Tank bags than any other brand, for a range of cameras, from compact to integral-vertical-gripped pro DSLRs. The Think Tank Mirrorless Mover 20 is large enough to accommodate an M10 with a hefty M-mount lens affixed. Think Tank is high-quality black nylon fabric, thoughtfully designed by real-world photojournalists, without looking “tactical.” I may add another post, after I look through my small-ish Think Tank bags.

My wife bought an Ona Bowery, for me, as a gift. It was a disappointment, being heavy, for its size, and with large snaps to allow dust and rain to enter. (My wife uses an Ona-made bag, sold as a Nikon Anniversary Special, based upon the Ona Brixton. Hers is a much better bag, being heavy, but not so heavy for its size. The Brixton is more of a DSLR bag, in size.)

Oberwerth is VERY high-quality, for the times I want to dress-up. My first was a Heidelberg, which I bought pre-owned, but truly like-new, for an attractive price, before Oberwerth had become so trendy. The Heidelberg is quite large for carrying an M10, being more of a DSLR or medium-format bag. I later added a smaller Oberwerth bag, pre-owned, with an all-leather exterior, of unknown exact model, through the “evil bay” on-line auction site. The seller not knowing the model name, and the seller’s images not being all that wonderful, resulted in a nicely low price. What I received is about the size and appearance of the Oberwerth M bag, and just right for an M10, with one or two lenses, nice for when I am wearing a nice jacket and black dress shoes.

There are plenty of times I simply do not use a camera bag, when out and about with an M10 with one lens affixed, and perhaps one more lens either in a pocket or small pouch.

Far too late to edit, I noticed an error in the second sentence of the above paragraph. The word “snaps” should have been “gaps.”

The sentence should have read: It (Ona Bowery) was a disappointment, being heavy, for its size, and with large gaps to allow dust and rain to enter.
