Thank you. I understand, this lens is my favorite one. The only drawback is the "Ninja star" effect around f2.8/4 in certain light conditions, but I can cope with it. And it is so rare that I only remember how great this lens is rendering 😊

Mine also. The one I have now is perfect. Smooth focus, negligible focus shift, tack sharp center at 1.4, beautiful bokeh.

Thank you! We rescued him about two years ago. I think he's some sort of cairn terrier / schnauzer mix. In keeping with the spirit of the thread, here's another shot on the lux, wide open of course.

A bit more high-octane and brutal...

Taken slightly over 10 years ago on the M240 during a tractor pulling competition in Switzerland (I'll let you be the judge regarding the environmental impact - although it was not such a big deal back then and a short-haul flight these days is probably much worse...). No bokeh, but all @ f/1.4 and pretty much straight ooc, says LR. The lens has since been sold and replaced by the BC version.

Lens, great.

Tractors spewing smoke, terrible.

and in SWITZERLAND at that, um Himmels Willen/dio mio... 😁
Although I did just fly SWISS to USA and made a much, much bigger environmental footprint.
