Fantastic capture! Love that lighting streaming down the mountainside and the way those trees seem to lean out of the way to let it through. Nice composition.

What fantastic pictures. Could you tell us more about how you produced them?

Thank-you so much Sid for your feedback. Mother Nature gets the vast majority of credit for these images...open fields, 100 km/h winds and a good wallop of snow most certainly generated the right conditions for some fun imaging. The vast majority of captures were with the M10 Monochrom fitted with a yellow color contrast filter (used mainly for protection of the front element in this case). Metering was usually off the snow and opened up 1.5 stops with apertures between 5.6 - 8.0. The DNG's are brought into LR Classic as extremely flat files, just like the 4x5 B&W negs I used to have drum scanned. This is actually ideal as you have preservation of the entire tonal range capable of being captured by the sensor. I really don't do much to the files in LR, preferring to conduct edits for contrast (curves), dodging and burning in PS as separate adjustment layers. I only apply sharpening after all adjustments are made so as to avoid proliferation of artifacts. I use a Wacom tablet when editing as this gives very fine control for masking. Images are assigned GrayGamma 2.2 as I find, after much trial and error over the years, that this generates the most neutral prints when using the Advanced B&W mode of my Epson printer in combination with Epson's Exhibition Fiber paper. I hope some of this information proves useful and I'm certainly happy to answer any other questions you might have. ~ Cheers, Jeff
