Indeed, the cheaper stuff isn’t cheap anymore, me too was in ZD, and the more “expensive” restaurants maintained their prices but slightly lowered portions. Beef is expensive though. My diet was fish and wine.

As is usual at this time of year, we need to know how many people are likely to attend the Challenge so that we can sort out venues for lunch and dinner.

@Olaf_ZG has kindly offered to assist with the venues, personally and by raking in the help of more local colleagues within his company, so we are in good, local hands - always a plus!

I have no idea what the One Challenge is.  If it is not a secret would someone post what it is all about. Sadly I am too far away even if I knew the secret handshake!  Thanks.

Sorry, I seem to have taken for granted that people know what the One Challenge is. Mea culpa.

Since 2005, we have been organising a Forum meeting in different European cities for the purpose of having a competition. It has morphed over the years into a social event and we try to arrange a dinner on the Saturday night for my one who attends. 

The completion is called the One Challenge because the rules are basically :

€10 in the pot to enter 

One camera

One lens

One film (36 shots)

One afternoon (2 hours)

Choose one best shot

Shots judged

Winner takes the prize pot and gives it to a charity of his or her choice  

Apart from 2020 and 21, we have done this every year, and other challenges have taken place in other continents too
