Thanks for that suggestion, Jeff, as I'm not sure I'm familiar with her work. Having had a quick look at her Wiki entry there are some things which sort-of remind me of stuff I've heard but I'm going to have to check her out when I get a bit of spare time. Her name might have cropped-up in a lecture way back when but I'm certainly far from sure about that.

Philip.

Terrific New York street photographer, probably better known on this side of the pond.

We have to make another loop of the P&S first.

Well, we could talk about my Rollei QZ35 W.  The greatest P&S ever!  Porsche design, Ti construction, shutter speeds available in all modes from 16 Sec to 1/8000!
Superb lens.

Good work. You managed to get both Rollei and P&S in the same comment.

I would put my hand up if it was a black paint M6 re-issue. Already have a silver M6 Classic as well as a black ‘Leitz’ M6 Classic so no point getting the ‘new’ one unless it has some unique lasting attribute...

How about having a meter that is serviceable should it die? 🙃

Hello madNbad,

Altho the top cover seems to indicate that it would be an  MPttl

Best Regards,

Michael

except that it has M6ttl advance lever and rewind crank...looks like a "blacked out" M6ttl to me. 😕

Hello Brad,

I think the camera will most likely be a variant of an MP. Not a variant of an M6/M6ttl/M7. The numbers & letters in both screw mount & bayonet mount cameras mean something that is readable. They are not simply there.

This is why the M3 was the first bayonet mount camera. The M1 was the third camera. And the M4 was the 4th viewfinder camera.

Best Regards,

Michael

??? I do not understand???

The camera in the photo (post #787) has an M6 style advance lever, it has and M6 style rewind crank, it has the M6TTL style shutter speed selector dial.

It looks like an M6TTL to me.

How does it look like an MP?
