Here's the start of our 2018 local wildflower season -- daffodils in all sizes (we call then "Narkis" for narcissus.)

The last is Limoneum Perezii, a shrublet from the Canary Islands (according to the closest sign).

Now for some shots with my new CL and the 35/1.4 FLE-M:

I've heard these called Protea, but they have a much longer name in Latin.

4 pictures from me with my CL and a couple of lenses. I'm getting used to the camera more now as I use it more. it's no slouch, and the two zoom lenses (18-56 and 55-135) seem very capable indeed. The 55-135 does need a good shutter speed at the long end obviously as there is no OIS.

I have to say that with these two lenses I've got excellent range and flexibility, very good image quality, all in a nice little package.

Wow those are rather good @meerec! So 280mm = 420mm on the CL. Nice.

It’s what I hoped when buying the CL — extend the reach. It proved ok. But the CL proved itself to be such a nice companion to SL and such a beautiful camera on its own.

What a fantastic IQ! But I guess holding this little camera with that big zoom is not very easy. It is not very easy for me to keep it study with my Angenieux 35-70mm.

SL-90-280 is an awesome lens on any body [no punt intended] lol

Yes holding it is a challenge, you don’t hold the combo by the CL’s tiny teeny body as the mount can be ripped off by the sheer weight of the lens — you hold the lens and pretend there is nothing attached to it LOL

Great shots, and a remarkably friendly, scruffy-looking bird.  Do they really laugh?

They laugh a lot, especially when in a group together. The laughter is hilarious.

She looks scruffy after a plunge into my swimming pool to cool down on a hot summer day.

I've misidentified the second plant in the post above.  I'll correct this when I know more.

I believe it is the South African "Hedgehog Aloe". I am sure there will be a latin name for it as well. There is a lot of it growing in my brother's garden at Noordhoek.

Wilson

PS. Aloe Humilis.

Leica CL with Leica Noctilux 50mm f0.95 ASPH.

So far I like it, but it's not a replacement for my M9 in any way, very different renderings
