For a long time I carried the holy trilogy of 35-50-90 but really gravitated now to just a 35 on a 0.72 M mount rangefinder.  It fits how I use a rangefinder.  Ha, ha, multiple 35's, all of them compact and light, but that's really my only focal length now.  Still have a late Dual Range Summicron but I have to force myself to use it.  I might go get a 90 again for those 1 in a 1000 shots where I need to compress foreground and background.  I like to keep it all simple.  But every so often I think about adding something wider ...

What I use? 21,28,35,50,75, most of the time just 28 or 50

Funny how this finding holds for many folks here -- having many longer lenses we use mostly the short ones.  I've found, with the recent Sigma SL 90mm, how small and amazing it is and how interesting closer pics of kids and landscapes are.  I guess it's easier to use a shorter lens on a rangefinder so many of the longer ones are staying in a drawer.  I've taken the Mandler 75 Lux for a shoot yesterday and it was great.  The smaller modern 75 Cron is easy to carry and it complements the 50 APO very nicely.

Focus accuracy is exactly the point why I rather use 50mm and wider on the M, and the SL2 for longer focal length, and also the reason why I dont own a m50/1.4 or M 90/2.0 any more.  Also 28-75mm make the most sense when using the optical finder.

the nokton 75/1.5 seems a very good lens, but I would rather use it withevf when wide open.

is that possible with Leica only?

Yes of course 😎 16 18 21 24 28 35 50 75 90 135  plus one for which you have 2/3 choices (apart long teles and/or old Leica screwmounts adapted and/or Leica R  adapted)

uh no.  Just because one does not know Leica/Leitz lenses one should not presume they actually know much of anything about Leica.

As shown above, the Leica/Leitz 73mm f/1.9 Hektor lens.  Jaeger, care to rephrase/retract your insult?   Not sure why anyone here should have to put up with such insults from the unknowing.

Just added a 16.

Zeiss Hologon 16mm Contax converted to M-mount in Japan (cased with the original centre spot filter and the bubble-level OVF)

(+ yet another 28 incoming 😉)
