That was the pre-production Pixii first version from 2018. The back of the current production version Pixii looks like this:

It must be some confusion on their part. I only have warm contacts.

On the other hand I can answer: the choice of a rectangular viewfinder window does not make it possible to mount a dioptric corrector.

Thank you.

Just ordered one Pixii.

😃

I want to use it mostly with small and lights lenses (Summaron 28/Rokkor 28, Cron 40 or Summarit 50) as a small and light rangefinder kit.

It will also be my "black and white" digital camera since I sold my Monochrom few years ago.

Excellent choice ! Congratulations!

Thank you. I've been thinking about one of these for some time, 64G seems the sweet spot for my needs ... the new sensor put it over the top. I look forward to exploring its capabilities and hope that it fits what I have been looking for.

I'm waiting to see about how long it will take them to ship it at present. :)

I'm loving the Pixii purchase process. The cameras are all made by hand, in small batches. One of the techs sent a note yesterday to say my order had entered the production process .... It's like buying a bespoke camera, one made for you personally. :)

Production takes about a week, including the quality testing and calibration process (two days or so). I suppose there's another day and some for packaging and shipping, then however quickly FedEx etc takes to transport it to California, USA. Pretty darn exciting!

So …

I received a second build in progress note a couple of days ago. I'm expecting shipment to happen within the next few days. Ordered a couple of spare batteries... :D

Image wise current PX3I is nothing special, which is better from initial just totally nothing special.

It receives adequate interest. Next to none. I was watching one and only decent reviews of this camera on YT.

IMO. Not close to "competition" and has nothing to do with "complementary" .

If you have ego disposable cash, it is what else to buy to be special (while you can't take decent picture) thing.

Or you want to support independent goof who has some access to cash and wants to try something different, while choosing RF simply because it allows to cut AF complications.

Someone is writing terrible things under your name.

Good luck with it.  I am charmed by it.  Plus it is pissing off all the Leica fanboys immensely so that adds to its value.  LOL

If you want to piss off the fanboys tell them your camera is as good as their Leicas.  This is pure politics.  If this were a place of learning, which demonstrably it is not, far from it, there would be a rush to embrace and study this little impertinent French interloper.  Instead we see a barrage of carping over the minuscule.  It is as bad as the US Senate.

How many of the naysayers have ever even held the PIXII in their hands?  Yup.  How many have taken photographs with the PIXII?  Yup. Why has no one from the fanboys suggested that a PIXII owner or owners submit test photos alongside the PIXII owners' Leicas?  Yet the naysayers with absolutely no experience, not one shred, as in zero, zilch point scratch experience, can all tell us why this camera is crap.  How can anyone listen to these folks and believe them or trust their opinions?  I sure do not.  And this is a classic example of what is a big weakness of this board.  It is becoming a cult.  New ideas need not apply here.

The board can change.  Does it have the will to change or will it remain a marketing tool?  It is up to us, the members.

Have you read this thread or many others in which there is much wavering obedience to the cult of Leica, good as Leica cameras are. Some of us enjoy using rangefinders. Unfortunately I do not want a less than full-frame camera so whilst I'm more than happy to see the Pixii it holds no interest as it stands.

I would point out that I don't need to try out a camera to know that from its specification it is not one relevant to me as it stands (Pixii or M11).

Bizarre OTT post - I have been following this thread with interest, and haven't received any such impression. Just the normal positive and negative views, most of them fairly balanced, a couple at the extreme on both ends of the spectrum.

My bank balance and my domestic finance director are grateful that I am able to reach conclusions about camera equipment (Leica, Zeiss, Cosina, TTArtisans etc) without buying it first. Holding a Pixii in my hands before buying it is not an option. I look forward to reading the impressions of those who have reached a different conclusion.

Unfortunately, some members claim to be able just from reading reviews if a camera can be relevant to people they don't know.
