1st post from a long time lurker.

Part exchanged a heap of Nikon gear for a mint M10r and a new summicron 50 f2.

Had thought long and hard about the change, so far enjoying the experience.

The shot was taken with the M10r and a shop loaner Elmar 50mm 2.8

Colours remind me of all those ‘evening shots’ with the M11.

At the Leica Store they said to me the sensors are “almost” the same . That left me confused of course. They did not want to more background. In waht, the same? 
With my reduced understanding I translate it to: the 50R is also a BSI sensor, also has the new IR/UV coverglass and both have no prisms.

I do not know how this can be explained but when I saw this series of bike photo's I immediately recognized the Summicron 35 iv used on the M10R. This is not what I immediately saw with this lens on my M9 or M10. I recognize it in this picture from somewhere in the French alps shot with the same set:
