Lovely photo, clear, sharp, centered, and pretty.  35mm?  This must be a very tiny part of your image, very impressive.  Hand held, or tripod?

My brother has a hawk that after a year of visiting, sort of adopted his property as its home.  The bird accepts him walking around and taking photos, but it always seems to be looking right at him.  I took some photos, but none came out anything as nice as your photo.  Tripod?

No tripod. There are a couple of red tail hawks around our property. Was driving to work in my car and happened to pull up next to this one in a tree. Shocked he let me lean over, grab my camera and grab a couple before he flew away. He was probably about 20-25 feet away. hand held sitting in my car looking out at the tree to the left of the driver's side. Cropped...a lot.

I guess they all missed the sign, but it's actually very safe where the people are. Probably about 15 inches thick by now.

Perception. The number sounds bigger and more important. The type is a significant few points larger for “FORTY SHILLINGS”
