Advertisement Posted July 20, 2020 Posted July 20, 2020 Hi Jeff S, Take a look here My M10 arrives tomorrow π. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Raid Amin Posted July 21, 2020 Share #22 Β Posted July 21, 2020 I use the RF in my cameras. I try to mainly use Leica lenses.Β "what's the point of buying an M body" ... if you use lenses that are not made by Leica?

I used to have the same opinion, but I'd heard such good things about the Zeiss range of ZM lenses that I decided to try one. For years I have used the 35mm Summicron f2 ASPH (and still do), however, I thought I would like something a little faster and after much thought decided to buy the Zeiss 35mm F1.4. In my opinion that lens is as good as the Summicron, even wide open it's sharp from corner to corner. I was so impressed, that I have since bought the Zeiss f2 50mm so that I can leave a 50 on my M10 and on my Monochrom, instead of having to switch lenses. The Zeiss lenses have different characteristics which from an artistic point of view is great. I agree in that 95% I focus using the rangefinder but I do find the Visoflex handy for low perspective shots and for fine focusing my Noctilux 0.95 when used fully open. intermediatic Posted July 21, 2020 Share #26 Β Posted July 21, 2020 (edited) A few points. The VF helps immensely when focusing on the 40MP sensor. Some people think the sensor outperforms their lenses. No but it will outperform the ability of many folks using the rangefinder. It also helps to get a sense for the exposure through the lens at stopped-down aperture. You will also likelyΒ find it much easier to go back and forth between RF and VF than RF and rearΒ screen. Finally the other models you cited do not have the same performance as the M10-R with M glass, especially at the wider angles. But back to the thread topic, still waiting for the M-10RΒ over here! sanadsaad Posted July 21, 2020 Share #27 Β Posted July 21, 2020 Advertisement (gone after registration) Congrats! If youβre looking for a small, sharp lens that doesnβt break the bank, you canβt go wrong with the Zeiss Biogon 2.8. I have been using it with my M240 mostly for street/everyday photography and absolutely love it. Heard good things about the 35mm elmarit and voigtlander as well but never used them.Β

intermediatic Posted July 22, 2020 Share #32 Β Posted July 22, 2020 Back to the topic at hand (availablity! maybe use other threads for lens questions?).
