downstairs Posted December 20, 2020 Share #102 Posted December 20, 2020 Right. I’ve been using the same box of props - a dozen items - for the last ten years. Mostly aluminium canteen kitchen stuff from the forties. I stay clear of anything that smells of antique shops.

If i dare share my opinion, in the image#2158 you refer to, I see a wicker piece of deco representing a fruit, whereas downstairs (in his ottimo autoritratto 😜) who will be able to confirm or give the right nature of the item, is handling a basket made of aluminium or of an other thin metal for collecting eggs or small vegies. Okay, I yield. But you have to admit there is a striking similarity. ;) Welcome, dear visitor! jto555 Posted December 29, 2020 Share #106 Posted December 29, 2020 While not really a self portrait it is a "portrait" of me. Yes, you cant see my face but all the light is in the sky behind me, so even if I was facing the camera I still would be hidden. I needed somebody to be in the photograph and there was nobody around. So I put the camera on a wall and set the self-timer then walked in to the pic. If you look closely at the photo you will see that the camera moved slightly during the exposure. I couldn't see that on the back of the camera so Oops! M240 21mm F2.8 wide open 1/8 sec 1600 ISO Welcome, dear visitor! Dennis Posted January 23, 2021 Share #110 Posted January 23, 2021 (edited) From yesterday, shooting in the streets while waiting for my wife and dog at the vet. Perfect chance to shoot for an hour at the golden hour. Practicing zone focus, guesstimate. To Be in the picture, is an accident. But I think I can call it a pleasant and unexpected self portrait M10 + 35/28 ZM F/4 Welcome, dear visitor! Popular Post jimofnyc Posted February 22, 2021 Popular Post Share #118 Posted February 22, 2021 Self portrait in my room. Using Dad's IIIf and f2.8 Elmar on Kodachrome64. I was 14 and just getting into photography. Set up my own darkroom with Dad's help getting running water to it. In that closet darkroom I learned black & white processing and on to Ektachrome processing and C41. But I did not have a set of color correction filters to make color prints. Welcome, dear visitor!
