Advertisement Posted January 17, 2020 Posted January 17, 2020 Hi elmars, Take a look here M10 Monochrom Reviews {merged}. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Viv Posted January 17, 2020 Share #22 Posted January 17, 2020 A nice camera, but not one for me. I don't need 41 MP. I can convert to B/W from colour files, with results that are good enough for me.
CharlesL Posted January 17, 2020 Share #23 Posted January 17, 2020 This articles explains exposure and base ISO on a Leica M versus a camera with a CFA. https://www.dpreview.com/articles/2062427975/why-leica-s-m10-monochrom-is-more-than-just-a-gimmick

dickgillberg Posted January 17, 2020 Share #25 Posted January 17, 2020 Ok, I'm sorry. I've always had a bad feeling of people who try sell something to me when I not want to, even a youtube prescription.

Guest Posted January 17, 2020 Share #27 Posted January 17, 2020 Advertisement (gone after registration) I do wish that Leica had invited our fellow forum members Coiln 544 and Lambda to be "testers" on the new M10-M, both of them have constantly shown great mastery of the art of imaging with the Monochom cameras, much more so than others in my opinion. Their assessment of the new Monochrom would have been of real interest to me.

Both are masters.
Likaleica Posted January 17, 2020 Share #29 Posted January 17, 2020 Maybe I got one because they just wanted to see what an average buffoon could do with the camera! 😂 2

Guest Posted January 17, 2020 Share #31 Posted January 17, 2020 you're no buffoon with a camera Tim.....I only mentioned Colin and Lambda because of their consistent high quality B&W work that we all see examples of here.

Musotographer Posted January 17, 2020 Share #33 Posted January 17, 2020 I have encountered Mr Brownstone's idiosyncratically delivered videos before - I watched this one for a couple of minutes. Most of us try to be supportive of fellow forum members, but I think it is worth pointing out that the first part of the video - Mr Brownstone's first and only posting - is nothing more or less than a blatant advertisement for his workshops. 4

Shock! Horror! Someone on YouTube is trying to make money! At least Mr Brownstone isn't yelling at us...I find his videos reasonable and reasoned...and yes, idiosyncratic. 3

I am SO easily shockable 😀 But the Forum isn't YouTube - and Mr Brownstone posted it here himself.

dierk Posted January 18, 2020 Share #40 Posted January 18, 2020 Tim, thanks very much for your impressions of the M10M! and especially for these fantastic pictures!! and you are right, very often I just take my M 246 and the WATE with red filter and the 12mm Voigtlander and concentrate on the pictures, that I see and imagine, instead of thinking, witch one of all my digital and MF analog cameras would be the best tool! 🙂
