Very dramatic! I remember opening day and sailing under the GG Bridge thru the potato patch with towers disappearing into the fog. The fog is either refreshing or encroaching and it is beautiful in B&W! Chips

I've lived in the Bay Area almost my whole life and I'd never heard the term "potato patch" associated with the Golden Gate and the Marin Headlands. So I had to look it up. Not being a sailor, I guess I never had a reason to think about the winds and currents as you approach the bridge from the ocean. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.

I know I should expect it, but I still get surprised by the way the shadows can be revealed.  The garage door was large and light was being reflected from the other side but even so, the sunlight was bright and drums were black.

That term really struck me as strange until we sailed into and through it. It feels like trying to walk thru a potato patch -- the clash of currents in that narrow space. I really like your photo from Ft. Baker!!

Your photo has for me an ancient and austere feel. But it can look like the pulpit is raising up from the darkness. Interesting tones and it has an emotional impact for me. Thanks! CHIPS

So this is the "tiny country church" -- thanks it looks like something from the 9th century. The B&W really gives it an ancient feeling -- something from the pages of history.

Recently have been experimenting with filters for the M10M. Conclusion: red is a dead loss, nothing is sharp and the effect is a complete let down; orange is often too much contrast, and generally too extreme; for me, yellow works best - the effect is apparent but subtle and raises contrast for clouds in the sky, while not doing too much to other areas of a scene. Hence, a yellow filter will live on my lenses when they're on the Mono. I went ahead and bought the Leica yellow 46mm for an eye-watering amount, then saw sense and got a reasonably-priced (ie affordable) generic yellow 39mm. Yesterday went out to try my luck. Not much in the way of landscape around here so it was back into the city. This is one of the many bridges over the Sumida River in Tokyo.
