90-280, heavily cropped. CAF works like a charm, when there is nothing distracting in the background (like clear skies)

Great BIF shots. Looks like you've gotten the SL2's focus Tracking going. Do watch out and avoid shooting directly into strong backlight, other than under exposing your subject, the auto focus success rates drop as it hunts.

Still getting the hang of how big the file can be... This should bring it to life a bit better.

With the larger image size allowable, it is worth posting some SL2 images, as we can begin to do them justice. The image here was taken on a dark evening in Washington above the Vietnam Memorial. It was so dark when this picture was taken, the 24-90 hunted for -- and failed to find -- focus. So I switched to manual focus and was just able to catch this. ISO 3200, 1/8th at F/3.2.

A puddle between two sections of the walk outside the Kennedy Center caught my eye. SL2, 24-90, ISO 800, f/3.2, 0.3 seconds.
