Nice photo!  My SL was not that great with this kind of action photo; when compared to my Canon 1DX Mk II.  I have not yet had a chance to test the SL2 with this kind of image but hope the auto focus tracking has been improved.

The auto focus tracking on the SL2 may not be the best in class but it certainly performs decently. A fast shutter speed selected is also important to keep the fast moving image sharp. Continuous focus shots especially those require horizontal paning requires practice. It does not mean you are guaranteed with a good shot just because you used 1DX.
