Monuments!

U1040174 by scott kirkpatrick, on Flickr

Some years ago, somebody had 50 cast lions made and turned them over to local artists and designers to be painted to taste.  I'm not sure what the original use was, but they ended up in odd corners all around Jerusalem, with the paint fading.  This one just got a refresh.

I love the Leica colours. And love the quirky tiny Summaron-M 28.
Sydney fish market, and Barangaroo sunset.

Thank you. I'm very pleased with the MC-21 & my Canon lenses on the SL2. It only works in SAF mode, no continuous AF.   Focus is accurate & relatively fast with no focus hunting. The Canon 1.4x & 2x Tele-converters also work reasonably well, albeit a little slower but still very usable.   As a comparison I've also tried the Novoflex adapter which is subpar on the SL2, with plenty of focus hunting & just about useless when you add in the Tele-converters.

Several other users here have had the same experience.

Oh wow. For some reason I didn't think any Canon adapters that worked with the SL2 had any auto focusing capability. I was thinking it only worked with Panasonic and Sigma's L cameras.

Hammerhead Flatworm

Had never seen the species before in Singapore.  Kinda rare and I’m glad to be able to spot it as this photo was selected as a LFI Master Shot.

Maybe the uncut grass during the 2 months of Lockdown in Singapore allowed these species to proliferate.

Beautiful photo. Are you able to auto focus with the Canon Macro lens or is this all manual focusing?

Not a fleeting moment, but it took me three tries to get this.  Once set ISO 3200 and forgot to check, once too early, so today I finally moved the sun into the right place and used exposure comp -1.0 to hold the color of the sky and the gold roofs...

It really doesn't matter at this size, but at 100%, the S 100 Summicron clearly outresolved the Lumix 70-200, also at 100 mm and f/8.  For the evidence, compare

knive of a german master knive maker, I bought long time ago. It is a liner lock type but not a one hand knive - which combination is not allowed in Germany now. If this makes really sense, I do doubt, but I am not a German, and therefore it does not affect me, if I do not travel there with a kind of knive that might be forbidden there. First photo with SL2 and 24/90. second one with L 60 Macro.

We're getting to the point of counting angels on the head of a pin, aren't we? With either lens, you can almost count the number of passengers in the distant vehicles. And at $8,800 USD, the S 100mm Summicron should outresolve the Hubble telescope. 😉

Actually, I was hoping to see the expressions on the faces of the passengers.  The S100 cost me half of its list price.  But it was like new.  Apparently the result of a bankruptcy.

Hi , could you talk about the S 100 lens a little, how it works on SL2 with adapter and share some photos please.

I am considering it for my collection.

Sigma 70 macro L at f/2.8 on the SL2.  I am only testing out the lens so no work on composition.
