One more macro from today, this time the movement side of one of my watches.  A Lange 1815 Up and Down in rose. I love well finished watch movements, and this is a really nice one. I especially like the bit of warmth from the German silver three quarter plate (vs the usual Swiss style rhodium plating). Leica SL2, ISO 50, f/8, 1/2s exposure, focus stack of about 24 frames, 60mm Elmar TL Macro lens (APSC).

Can the 60mm Macro lens be directly mounted on the SL2?  Or, does it require an adapter?

The 60mm APO TL is an L mount native lens, yes it can be mounted directly onto any L mount camera incl. the SL2.

Being an APSC lens, on the SL2 it gives you a RAW image size of approx. 20MP. I often use this lens on my SL2 and am very pleased with the results.

Young Martial Eagle  (Polemaetus bellicosus), Zuka Game Reserve South Africa  -

Martials are the largest of the African eagles and incredibly powerful, capable of knocking an adult man off his feet.  Their wingspan ranges from 1.8m (6 ft.) to 2.6m (81/2 ft.)

SL2 & Canon 400mm f4 DOII & Canon 2x TCIII  with MC-21 Adapter - ISO400 f8 @ 1/1000s   -Heavily cropped, the Eagle was a fair distance away.
