for obvious reasons.  Usually we celebrate in  more traditional way with 4-5 families, but that's not allowed this year.  We did get together on Zoom to sing the closing songs.  It was pretty awful, but fun.

It will be the same for Pasqua, Pâques, Pascua, and Πάσχα in other parts of the world, too.

Combining hobbies...

Every-Day-Carry items for the "modern gentleman" (or at least for me): Rolex Explorer 114270 on a shell cordovan strap, SureFire Titan flashlight, folding pocket knife, all shot with an SL2 using an APO-Summicron-SL 75mm.

Can't speak for gentlemen, but here's my combo.  Crystal-controlled Seiko (accurate to a few seconds over six months when time changes occur), buck knife (only travels in checked luggage, so doesn't travel often), and LED flashlight from the local gas station.  Rubber strap, good for 2-3 years, costs nothing to replace.

Much more cost effective solutions than mine and just as functional.  Leaves more funds available for lenses!

Leica SL2 | VE 24-90mm | Natural Light

I was lucky to make a capture of the supermoon while it was being framed by the trees. I thought it had an eerie feel to it!

This was handheld at 2.5 seconds, F/5.6 and ISO 400

These are my usual carry items-  1989 GMTII 16710,  vintage Laguiole knife (always on hand to open a bottle of wine & slice some cheese) & Klarus flashlight.

SL2 & TL 60mm APO

I hope this guy knows a little something about social distancing...

Leica SL2, 75mm APO-Summicron-SL @ f/5.6.  Unfortunately, the bee never quite landed, so I didn't get a sharp image of it.  Overall, I liked the composition and the color contrasts.  This was taken on a median strip near my house this morning.

Lumix 16-35mm at 16mm

The Lumix 16-35 seems to be a good choice with the SL-II

I'd have to agree. I cant complain much about the performance. In real world shooting it certainly is more than sharp enough, no noticeable geometric distortion when on plane and good color rendition. It is prone to CA in OoF areas like bare trees and it will occasionally generate some rather ugly flare, but considering the alternative is 4x the cost and given it's one of the lightest lens in the system, I'm happy I have it. It is, as you might expect, left in the bag for the Summicron when the shot calls for 35mm, but for everything wider, it does the job pretty admirably.

Do you think you’d do the same if you had the SL zoom instead (when speed or wide open effects aren’t needed)?  Sorry to disrupt the image thread.

No clue to be honest as I don't own one. I suppose the real question would be for those who do, beyond the attributes you mentioned, do they feel any need to buy the 35mm?

I own the 16-35L and 35M FLE and don’t jump in to buy the Summicron 35L, no need. And 35mm at 16-35L is very different application and use to the 35M as you can imagine, shooting at f/1.4.
