How to upload images: Prepare the image as follows: 1.   The image should be sRGB and 8-bits 2.   Reduce the size to 2048 pixels on the longest side. (smaller sizes can be set, but are not recommended) 3.   Sharpen properly for screen. 4.   Save as JPG to your desktop, reducing JPG quality to produce 2000 kB (5000 kB for sponsoring members). 5.   In Lightroom these parameters should be set in the Export dialog. 6.   In the Forum posting or editing box, click “choose Fil

More work today to try and figure out how to make the FOTOS app workable for Hummingbird photography. This is a Broad-tailed Male Hummingbird which is common to the front-range of Colorado in the summer. I had the camera focus on the feeder in the middle of the screen. Some success. Leica Q2, 1/800, ISO 100, F/13, on tripod, using a Canon MR-14EX ring flash and 3 other Canon 600 EX-RT II flashes to illuminate the bird from different angles and the background. The trick is to have the flashes provide all the light and nothing from the ambient light in the scene. That's how I stop the wing motion. My technique needs more work to make the gorget of the bird stand out as a bright color (red). It requires a different angle than I had setup.

It's the Florence American Cemetery in Tuscany.  A very moving and beautiful memorial to American soldiers.  Well worth a visit if you go to Florence.  Here is the website link and another photo:

I was asked to photograph a charity race.  I used my SL for the actual race but while waiting for the race to start I had my Q2.  I noticed some silvered balloons and this was the result.
