Leica M6 TTL light meter - what's the official verdict w/repairability?

I must say that I am not a fan of the Leicameter (although I have two). As I said my M6TTL is fine but if it does give trouble I would probably use a hand held meter or the excellent Voigtlander VC Meter II which I use with my M4.

We had dealt with that, and the OP already made a (good) decision.  

My post regarding the M3 was in response to @jakham ‘s post regarding a 0.85 M5 TTL.

Yes, it was TTL but not TTL as in an M6 TTL which is TTL as per an ordinary M6 but with TTL for flash as well which an ordinary M6 (which is TTL) doesn't have.

I think you missed my Essex humour. Yes I know all about the M5 (I have, and use, an M5 and an M6TTL) but I didn't see it mentioned in the reply re the M3.

Yes, I agree with your second point but I'm not sure that an M3 (can you still get one for €600?) is automatically a better choice than the M6TTL. Yes, it will be better built but it will lack the 35mm framelines and you have to fanny about with the film take up spool when loading.

I recieved M6TTL 0.85 (year 2002, like new) for 579 Euro with faulty lightmeter last week. One roll with Sunny16 rule was awesome! Results are perfect! 🙂 So maybe I try to find repairman who know how to fix it just for curiosity.

Does anyone know if the light meter on M6 ttl possible to replace by light meter from M6 classic or M7? 

I mean take out the whole circuit board
