Advertisement Posted July 22, 2019 Posted July 22, 2019 Hi jaapv, Take a look here Firmware 3.1 released. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
bags27 Posted July 22, 2019 Share #2 Â Posted July 22, 2019 (edited) Wow. that looks like a major upgrade. all kinds of rumors that Leica is going to let the CL/TL2 line lapse. hoping this proves them wrong. On the Reddot "how to" video, they're calling it 2.0. But I'm thinking that's an earlier standardized video and just as an example for all future upgrades. The current upgrade is really 1.3. MENU > USER PROFILES > MANAGE PROFILES > EXPORT PROFILES will write them to the SD card. Of course, you want to do this AFTERÂ you format the SD card or you'll just erase them again. Note: I've found that even though I do this for every firmware update, afterwards I've often had to go into each User Profile, reselect the lens I use for that profile, and re-save the profile. (I use all M and R lenses, so all of my profiles have specific default lens profiles assigned...) Edited July 22, 2019 by ramarren

I'll be in the Monterey area the next 2 weeks, but will be in the Bay Area again next year, and owe you a drink!
Boojay Posted July 22, 2019 Share #14 Â Posted July 22, 2019 Great update for the CL - Â so happy about the update to manual focus assist - being able to move the magnified point around is a real bonus. Â THANK YOU Leica.
ruskkyle Posted July 22, 2019 Share #15 Â Posted July 22, 2019 Not of of interest to many people I'm sure but as a video maker the ability to select and lock f-stop during filming is a very useful touch. Now if only we could get 25p the CL would really be a viable B camera.

jaapv Posted July 22, 2019 Author Share #17 Â Posted July 22, 2019 I don't think so - it would be a first for Leica.

No. Loading firmware essentially wipes the camera's system clean and loads a completely new set of programs and data.

ruskkyle Posted July 22, 2019 Share #20  Posted July 22, 2019 It seems that the AE Lock disappears after taking one shot. Kind of defies the idea of having focus 'lock' in order to take multiple shots quick succession. Or I am doing this wrong?
