I wasat a baloon festival in the evening, so light was going fast, I was using Portra 160 on my M3, as the light started waning I decrease my shutter speed to about 1/30 and then started opening the aperture. I noticed all the f1.4 images had vignetting. I very seldom use f1.4 and then generally inside. I have had this lens for 40 or so years but this was a new revelation.

A off market 12504 hood, no filter. I photographed from f5.6 to f1.4, I didn't notice the vignetting until under f2.8, here is an f4 image. The sun is goingdown in the west, right of image. On the original image west is to the left. It is possible that the sun stting is causing this.

Here is one I spent a little bit more time on editing than last time I posted. I reduced contrast, bring down highlight and crop the left side.

35lux pre-ASPH stitched (I think it was f8)

Just bought this 1977 Canadian Summilux-M 35 v2, to go with my recently acquired M4.

My M lens collection is a bit odd, having sold most of them several years ago - my only other M lens is a Thambar, which I hadn't got round to selling.

Hello Paul,

Nice camera & lens.

Did you know that the first production M4 is numbered 1175001?

Best Regards,
