How to upload images: Prepare the image as follows: 1.   The image should be sRGB and 8-bits 2.   Reduce the size to 2480 pixels on the longest side. (smaller sizes can be set, but are not recommended) 3.   Sharpen properly for screen. 4.   Save as JPG to your desktop, reducing JPG quality to produce 2000 kB (5000 kB for sponsoring members). 5.   In Lightroom these parameters should be set in the Export dialog. 6.   In the Forum posting or editing box, click “c

Hi, my garden birds behave differently: green finches sit and eat, blue tits see my feeder as a takeaway, making focusing difficult ... (SONY A7R2 - LEITZ Telyt-R 6,8/400 f 11 ; crop):

For my takeaway guests I use a focusing help, hoping they come to sit in the focused area (and deleting many misses ... ) :

Leica R 500m reflex lens + Leica telescope ocular eyepiece + iPhone 

(Plant in my backyard)

need to make a solid tripod setup to hold my phone up against the eye piece so I don’t have to handhold my iPhone next time for a sharper image 😌

Hi, the picture was taken near Mainz/Germany of an Eichelhäher (Garrulus glandarius), which is jay in English. All our jays here in Germany have this colour; there are no variants.

The sharpness of the pic is due to my focusing patience (I threw lots of pics away), the high-res SONY A7R2, and the LEITZ Elmar. 😉
