Hi, the picture was taken near Mainz/Germany of an Eichelhäher (Garrulus glandarius), which is jay in English. All our jays here in Germany have this colour; there are no variants.

The sharpness of the pic is due to my focusing patience (I threw lots of pics away), the high-res SONY A7R2, and the LEITZ Elmar. 😉

True, they all look like that here in Germany. There are many of them where I live.
