How did you expose this Ian? "For the shadows letting the highlights look after themselves" or underexposing shadows a stop or for the mids over exposing one stop?

Pete

I exposed for the shadows. Using a iPhone meter due to the SA giving the MP's meter a bad reading.

The exposure was made at f4, 1/60s

Developed in Rodinal (or Adox Adnonal to be precise), at 1+50 for 11 mins @ 20°C

Scanned on a Plustek 8200i with Silverfast. No correction at all in Silverfast.

In PP, I brought down the mids slightly and added a tiny bit of contrast.

What is the largest print you can make from a scan using the Plustek 8200i with high quality results?

Sorry, I haven't got a printer yet so I can't help you. You can probably work it out by looking at the specs.

My scans yield 3320px × 2256px, 300dpi files. I produce 16bit tiff files for B&W.

It's harvest season I guess, even though it feels like summer right now.

Nice shot.  Do you recall the ISO and shutter speed?  Always good to see indoor sports shots with a film M.
