Stereophonie Posted April 20, 2018 Share #1 Posted April 20, 2018 Advertisement (gone after registration) Just noticed that the M-P240 vanished from the Leica website (at least from the German version)... My hopes are rising that the M10-P is finally on its way! Smaller, nicer sensor than my M-P240 and will brass! What is there not to like!
Advertisement Posted April 20, 2018 Posted April 20, 2018 Hi Stereophonie, Take a look here M-P240 vanished on Leica Website!? Is the M-P10 arriving?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
jaapv Posted April 20, 2018 Share #2 Posted April 20, 2018 There may be another explanation: The CL is enough of a camera to push the M240 out.
elmars Posted April 20, 2018 Share #3 Posted April 20, 2018 Or: The M240 is sold out. They were the rests of the batch produced before the M10. Some of them were altered and used for special editions.

Paul J Posted April 20, 2018 Share #5 Posted April 20, 2018 (edited) Interesting. Leica Store Mayfair says it only has 1 left. I really hope Leica puts back the option for a USB Grip with the M10-P. Edited April 20, 2018 by Paul J

Bill W Posted April 21, 2018 Share #8 Posted April 21, 2018 Just wonder if there will continue to be any M with video. The M10 was designed to not have the capability and resulted in a much liked thinner body. The battery in the M10 would not last long with video use I am guessing. I love the M10 as it is and wonder what an M10-P would gain except maybe no dot on the body.

jmr237 Posted April 21, 2018 Share #10 Posted April 21, 2018 Based on past product cycles, it's likely that Leica will introduce the M10-P model at 2018 Photokina. The M10 Monochrom would be released in the spring/summer 2019 timeframe.

They could have a battery grip that triples battery life. Increase the memory for buffer too.

ianman Posted April 22, 2018 Share #14 Posted April 22, 2018 There is a playlist on their YT channel in which IIRC both the M Product Manager and Dr Kaufmann talk about having removed some features for the M10 and put them in the SL instead.
