I would say the this is a tad bigger than a X2. I measure (w-h-d): 140x87x45 m. including the EVF and140x75x35 mm, without counting the EVF

The T measures134x107x33 mm. incl the Visoflex and 134x69x33 mm. without.

That is quite a compact little gem, when the specs are comparable with the TL2 and a EVF of the Q or better. All depends on the size of the battery I think.

Not far from a I Model A. About 5mm wider and 10mm taller. There could be claims about this as a return to the basic original Leica size. With a compact lens, this would go in a pocket.

it almost looks like the SL's EVF...a clue might be in the battery details...EVF's love power ;)

I'm not in love with its appearance, but if the EVF is equivalent to, or better than, the Q's and the user interface is more like the Q's/X line/ SL then I'm tempted to replace my TL2 with it.

I'd be greatly disappointed if the EVF is like the Visoflex currently available for the TL2.

For me, the EVF on the TL line is just not sufficiently good for using M lenses and nailing focus wide-open.

Why a let down? Just curious. Physically, it seems to be what you predicted.

It's a nice little travel camera and there are plenty of those, including the TL2. Why even introduce a TL2 if a few months later they come out with this? Stupid. Not really suited to shoot the SL zooms without holding the whole thing by the lens in order not to bend the lens mount.

Yes, price. Think somewhere in the range of €2,599-$2,899 +/-100.

Think you nailed it on the head. That EVF better shine to make up for its appearance. But, it just looks like the Visoflex pushed into the body, just barely. Am guessing no better, but time will tell.

What a let down. I can see people cancelling their attendance of “Das Unwesentliche“ and TL2 buyers asking for a refund.

Ive already sent an email to Ffordes asking for my money back for the TL2

The Clooney's EVF has a very different appearance to the Visoflex 020 … Viso is made in Indonesia by Epson.

Bravo, M like body with L mount, it turns me on.

I hope Leica will do it for FF as well.

In fact, Leica should do it for all formats.

After this I wonder if there will be any TL3 in the future.

IMO this is how the TL should have been designed since the beginning.

But I would have preferred a flat top cover à la M or à la Q.

This has probably been designed by the same guy who designed the SL GPS cover.

I must say, I find the responses more interesting than the camera!

We have been fed rumours this would be an APS-C based camera with L mount and built in EVF. The picture, not surprisingly, shows an X body with EVF. Surely, that is not even remotely surprising? I haven’t looked closely at the dimensions, but I assume it is closer in size to the Q that to an X camera, but it looks very similar.

Nice camera. Price will be the telling point.

Not sure why Leica would offer a refund to any TL2 owner. They’re different cameras. Releasing further L mount models has always been Leica’s future, and it has commented on many occasions it also thinks the APS-C sensor has an advantage.

If this is real, it is another L mount option, which is good for Leica. How many versions of the M do we have? M(240), (246), (262), M-D, M10?

There’s nothing to this new camera that would make me switch from my TL2. Interesting Leica has, yet again, resisted a full frame camera, M form factor, L mount and built in EVF. It will come one day.

First pictures and infos (or rather "rumours") of it:

...or is it fake news?
