1st July it is! I am now fairly certain to come, I will be returning from a week in Barcelona and will simply swap from a plane to a train when I get back home. 

 

Any recommendations for hotels to stay in? BestWestern?

I'll arrive very late Friday night without a car and stay at the Fletcher Hotel Restaurant Prinsen in Vlijmen.

Ferdinand found it and he'll arrive sometime Saturday, too.

Today I reserved dinner at Restaurant Christoffel and reserved a corner/table at 10:00 0 Clock at the " Bolwerk " near the main gate of the city.

 

An 8 minute walk from railwaystation 's Hertogenbosch CS :

The "Bolwerk"( stronghold )  is lying near the river " Dommel " which is part of the moat of the medieval city.

We can have a coffee and a typical treat a so called " Bossche Bol " made by a famous pastry shop : " Jan de Groot " everybody in Den Bosch knows this. 

 

We might take the boat to see the underground river. The boat has place for 16 persons. see:

So I think we have room for still one person ( in the boat ) , if I count well...

Not really, I alway come by train. The Bolwerk is about 5 minutes walk from the station, so if you park there...

We seem te get a luxus problem when more persons attend. If we get more than 16 persons ( the boat is 16 persons large ) I will stay ashore ( I have been there ) . Please reserve about € 10,- p.p.  for the boat. 

 

Also , I will raise the reservation at the diner place Christoffel to 16 persons. Please let me know, if you cannot stay for dinner at 19:00.
