The instant availability may explain why the announcement has been delayed several times; the body was probably not ready for world-wide distribution before until recently.

Anything about new/updated lenses? Other bodies? Roadmaps of any kind?

Extraordinary that a new piece of technology has launched minus a feature that presumably most of its competitors (in price) have -- video -- and it is not missed. While upgrading many aspects of the M, dropping video is a counterintuitive and brace move -- and of course the right one if you emphasize The Essentials in the brand makeup of the camera...

Attached a screen shot from the video

Also read this as it will utilize the current Viso. But it would be interesting to know if they plan a new version of it. It says "compatible with existing", one could interpret that as they are actually making a new one :)

Smaller battery, from the spec sheet.  Now 1300 mAh instead of 1800 mAh in the BP-SCL2.

1 Lithium-ion rechargeable battery, nominal voltage 7.4V, capacity 1300mAh.; maximum charging current/voltage: DC 1000mA, 7.4V;

Looking forward to, in order of importance:

  1. Better ISO
  2. Better viewfinder
  3. ISO wheel
  4. Frame selector back again
  5. Slimmer body

Also ISO and DR comparison between M10 , SL and Q.

As you know SL's ISO capability is sacrificed for more DR compared to Q, so what about the M10 in these departments. More like SL or more like Q regarding to the sensor , or better than both in all of these departments with some improvements.
