otto.f Posted January 18, 2017 Share #2141 Posted January 18, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) The most baffling new feature of the M10 would be that there is no waiting list, being sold as donuts over the counter Told you...
Advertisement Posted January 18, 2017 Posted January 18, 2017 Hi otto.f, Take a look here Leica M 10. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
helged Posted January 18, 2017 Share #2142 Posted January 18, 2017 The instant availability may explain why the announcement has been delayed several times; the body was probably not ready for world-wide distribution before until recently. Anything about new/updated lenses? Other bodies? Roadmaps of any kind?
johnbuckley Posted January 18, 2017 Share #2143 Posted January 18, 2017 Extraordinary that a new piece of technology has launched minus a feature that presumably most of its competitors (in price) have -- video -- and it is not missed. While upgrading many aspects of the M, dropping video is a counterintuitive and brace move -- and of course the right one if you emphasize The Essentials in the brand makeup of the camera... mikeamosau Posted January 18, 2017 Share #2145 Posted January 18, 2017 Have to say, this feels like the Apple iPhone s version of update. A minor improvement and very telling it is called the M10, even Leica know it's not a proper upgrade, but just incremental changes so they held off moving a full title up to the m11. otto.f Posted January 18, 2017 Share #2148 Posted January 18, 2017 Is the 100ISO the real basic sensitivity, which would be marvellous and very M-ish too as the whole pack of other specs, or is it a software compromise?

mmx_2 Posted January 18, 2017 Share #2151 Posted January 18, 2017 Attached a screen shot from the video Also read this as it will utilize the current Viso. But it would be interesting to know if they plan a new version of it. It says "compatible with existing", one could interpret that as they are actually making a new one

CYBORA Posted January 18, 2017 Share #2155 Posted January 18, 2017 Looking forward to, in order of importance: Better ISO Better viewfinder ISO wheel Frame selector back again Slimmer body Also ISO and DR comparison between M10 , SL and Q. As you know SL's ISO capability is sacrificed for more DR compared to Q, so what about the M10 in these departments. More like SL or more like Q regarding to the sensor , or better than both in all of these departments with some improvements.
