A lichee plantation at which the lichee trees were being cut down because the climate warning, particularly lack of frost in December, had reduced production from 30 tonnes p.a. to less than 1 tonne. Taken in early morning fog.

Here is a new version of an image I had posted earlier. The new image is a bit lighter: in the earlier one I was hammering in too much the idea that this was taken at sunset. Also, the version below has better depth. I was shooting a good number of  color landscapes in this area of Northern Thailand with the Summaron, both digitally with the M10 and with film (Portra 400), and coming to the conclusion that this lens simply rendered better with film. Someone on LUF commented that film gave better “color depth”. The version below made me think differently about that, but it took some work to get there. (As usual of LUF, click on the image for better resolution.)

I like the previous version better, both are really nice anyway. This lens seem to have a lot of sparkle that it doesn't need shallow depth of field to aid composition.

The 28 Summaron lens paints wonderful images that are different from other 28mm Leica lenses.  Lots of detail and emotion from a very tiny lens.

Stay healthy & be well.

The Summaron also makes wonderful black & white images.  This is the Little Head in Trinidad, CA.  It has significant importance to the creation story of the centuries old inhabitants of the land before settlers came for the California gold rush in the 1840's.  Stay healthy & be well.

Hi and thanks!

This picture, however, is only to a lesser degree about this lens! This picture is about the photographer! Just very very nice! 👍☺️
