This is a good image.   However, only a constructive comment.....it is most important that the eye of the subject is sharp.  You probably were working from a positional disadvantage when you took this (ie not parallel to the subject).     Awe, only if all the stars aligned.   Again, only a constructive comment.   Thank you for sharing on the Forum.

Bug on our window last evening. I grabbed the Q2 and put a Hoya Close-up filter on and took a few dozen shots. This was the best one. Really beautiful little bug. Clear wings. Leica Q2, Macro mode, 1/50, f/4, ISO 1600, handheld.

It might be worthwhile to explain my procedure for focusing. I select manual focus and move the lens for the closest focus possible  I then use the lcd and magnify by 6X. I then move close to the bug and try and get the exact distance for perfect focus. I start low speed continuous shutter and move slightly back and forth from the image believing some of the images should be the best focused. I eliminate everyone in post that’s not sharp.

Wow   Indeed bugs can be beautiful.  As a person who likes to add embroidery to projects this would be fun to "stitch" out.

Super series.   I could be in trouble if I kept admiring your lovely dog images though!

I sold my SL recently and now waiting for the SL2. I used my SL mainly for Product Photography. Lately I had been experimenting Product Photography with the Q2 in Macro Mode. I think the result is quite acceptable. The Q2 is light to carry and I can just use a small LED light source for my work. This is an example of a product taken with the Q2 in Macro Mode. Using only one LumeCube.   1/100sec  f/4  ISO100

Another example of Product Photography using the Q2's macro mode. Light source: Metz small Flash light with a soft box firing at 90 degree. A small round handheld silver reflector on the other side.

1/30sec ISO100 f/4

Dimitrios, The greatest compliment you can give a Rocket Scientist is to call them a “Steely-Eyed Missile Man”. You sir are the equivalent for macro photography. Truly stunning images.
