Since the M8 has no live view, how did you control the perspective-correction down shift?

Pete.

Thanks Pete,

that was easy with plenty of time, "try/take a frame/judge framing with LCD/redo/so on",

"right framing" no need Live View for that (had done the thing before this view, of course).

While I used one spirit level attached to the hot shoe, I kept level then adjust (as many times as necessary) the "framing" after taking the photo if it's right.

When having done that for a while, I can "do it" without LV 😉.

That said, now I do appreciate the LV on my Ms for the same thing and many things more.

In Tskhaltubo, a former Soviet spa resort, now turned into a shelter for internally displaced people (IDP) from the short but intense Georgian-Abkhaz wars (1992–93 & 1998). These two men sat there as they probably have been doing since 18 years.

This proves there’s nothing wrong with the technology in a M8 and that they are still capable of producing great results, great photo with fantastic tones.

Comparing the Monochrom to the M8 for B&W is like comparing two different panchromatic films of the past. They are just different. Some people loved the Tri-X and some loved the more modern emulsion of the more fine grained TMax. Kodak made both those 2 films but they were decades apart and they addressed a different public.

cheers.

Where have I been?   No IR pics since my  last roll of Kodak.  But I got a an idea today,  M8 + ancient Leica IR filter.

I was going to post some and forum was open to these ir M8 photos.   Works like the the 092 B+W .  So no I will not bother posting as the are just tests in the neighborhood.
