the pictures are taken by the son of the author. the author was long tim employe by E. Leitz, Wetzlar and past president of german Leica Histroica.

For a while I owned one of the original Leicaflexs as shown above. It was simply fabulous. The mircoprism focusing screen was the best TTL focusing system I have seen before or since. The build quality and finish made the Nikon F look like a Trabant, from where I sat.

 

But I still prefer my M cameras.
