I was wondering if this bag (Tenba Cooper 13SLR) would fit my SL/24-90 attached plus a 80-200/4 R lens with the Leica R L adaptor attached.

I am using a Thinktank retrospective 6, I have my SL/24-90 on it's side and the 80-200/4 w/h adaptor standing up which is a touch to long. The Thinktank has zero padding which I don't like at all.  Any other suggestions?

Looking at the specs on the B&H Photo site, the Tenba Cooper 13SLR has about two inches more depth compared to the Think Tank Retrospective 6 (inside dimensions). It's probably deep enough to suit nicely. How different the padding might be ... I can't say for sure because I haven't looked at the Retrospective bags in quite a while. To me, the Cooper feels very protective and yet less bulky than my recollection of the Retrospective line.

I am going to buy an Oberwerth Porto for my SL. In the moment the bag is not available, but should be

available from week 7 / 2017 onwards. Anyone who already owns this bag and experiences with it ? Is it worth the considerable amount of money to pay for it ?

Has anyone tried the Tenba Cooper 13 Slim. It is just slightly slimmer than the Tenba Cooper DSLR. I am trying to go as small as possible but still have room the SL, 24-90 and possibly the M10. Planning a trip to Scotland next fall and I need to go as light and compact as possible. The great thing about the Cooper bags is they will attach to my roll around.

Loving my new Tenba Cooper DSLR holding my SL, 24-90, 80-200/4 R ROM with Leica adaptor attached.

How long is the stock shoulder strap that comes with the bag?  From pics, It doesn't seem long enough to use across body as a messenger bag....but if not, is it easily detachable for a replacement strap (via D-ring?).

Thanks.

Not very glamorous, but it does the job until I can get back home to my Billingham (and the Nikon has been evicted!)

Crumpler Proper Roady 9000 messenger bag. There are more dividers (currently used to pack out the bottom) so one could turn the M lenses on end and get another two in there, or use that space for larger (R, SL) glass instead. Note also space for a laptop, and zipper places for memory cards, batteries, phone and paperwork.

On the plus side its flexible and wraps around the back and hip without slipping and sliding, is easy to access (not even needing to unclip lid to pull out a lens), has a grab handle on top and no flappy extra straps, sits flat on the floor at cafes and has a long enough strap to wrap over the chair for security. Can you tell I'm not a landscape photographer?

On the negative side its floppy and the gear moves about inside, it's only a flip over lid so would resist only a light shower, and is thinly padded. I'd put this bag inside a clam-shell carry-on case before travelling very far, but it works just fine for a walk-around day bag.

Let me add my $.02. I have a Hadley pro and not too long ago, picked up the S4 from Billingham.  Its very close to the HPro size, just wider at the bottom.  I only have M lenses but the SL with the Nocti fits very well, vertically or horizontally. I can fit 1-2 M bodies with the SL or multiple M lenses.  Its very easy to get gear in and out.  I prefer a shoulder bag to change lenses on the fly. Highly recommend.  I had to order direct from the UK as its not available in the USA.

I'm v interested in the S4.  Do you think I could get SL w/24-90 plus M9 w/50 Lux attached plus Canon 16-35 zoom in..? Thanks

I use the Peak Design large messenger bag and the Peak Design modular straps

The bag holds the 90-280 lens complete with tripod sleeve. It also holds the SL with 24-90 attached and the hood on. It has an excellent strap and carry handle. There is plenty of room for storage in the bag.

However the real trick is to use the camera with a Peak Design wide strap and hand strap. These can be put onor taken off very quickly .Put the wide strap on and it is easy to carry the camera ergonomically for long periods and the strap has a smooth and rough option . See videos on the Peak Design web site. The camera is very easy to carry with your right hand and ismwell balanced on your right hand four fingers.. However if you dont want to drop it or want some protection use the Peak Design single strap. It is not good enough to carry the camera ( toomtight on your wrist) but it does stop your SL crashing to the ground if it falls from your hand

I take it you are referring to the Peak Design Clutch. I'll check it out. Thanks.

Apologies, I should have listed the specific models. Bag is the larger of the two Peak Design Messenger Everyday bags , 15 I think. ( can also hold a small monopod)The neck strap is thePeak Design Slide Camera sling Strap and the clutch is the Peak Design CL2 clutch hand strap. You can easily move from the neck strap to the clutch to no strap at all. I had all of these items prior to getting the SL gear but they work really well.....for me anyway!

I use the Peak Design clutch with my SL and I've found it to be the best of the 3 hand straps I've used because it's very easy to tighten and release to withdraw your hand.  It also works very well with the other Peak Design products owing to the universal Anchor link system, which makes it quick and simple to change from the clutch to an over the shoulder strap or whichever helps at the time.

Pete.

Yes, the Billingham Eventer is a great bag with R system, like the Hadley is for the M system.

I added an Hadley large insert in mine.

Sorry, I meant a Packington insert.
